An open-mic at the Handsome Prince! Come along, read your poems out loud and enjoy an evening of poetry and pale ales (plus lots of other types of beer, of course).
CB1 Poetry is a long-standing Cambridge poetry night having started in the 90s. It's had many incarnations over the years, but has found its home at the Town and Gown for the last three years. They run open-mic nights with occasional guest speakers on the first Sunday of each month.
Mill Road Poetry runs poetry nights in Hot Numbers, Gwydir Street, 6 times a year. The evenings are a curated line-up of local poets, and sometimes guests from further afield, and each poet gets a longer slot than a regular open mike event. The poets may be well seasoned or reading in public for the first time. The warm and relaxed vibe makes it an enjoyable evening for all.
The next events are Thursdays: 24th September, 29th October, 26th November. Get tickets from the events page at: hotnumberscoffee.co.uk
