Vino & Verses comes to Cambridge
Welcome to Poetry & Pints: a one-off Cambridge edition of Vino & Verses, curated and hosted by Bethany Callaway.
Join us at The Handsome Prince for an evening of beautiful words, good beer and good company, bringing the spirit of our monthly Saffron Walden open mic to Cambridge for the night.
How It Works:
Sign up on the door if you’d like to read; names are pulled at random from the hat throughout the night. Each speaker has up to 5 minutes and is welcome to share their own poetry, read on behalf of someone else, or perform a piece by a poet they love.
You don't have to read, of course. You're equally welcome to sit back, have a pint, and enjoy the local talent.
Timings:
Doors open: 6pm
Words start: 6:30pm
Wrap-up: around 9pm
Food & Drink:
There won't be a kitchen at The Handsome Prince, but there will be Baron beer.
A selection of Baron beers will be available to buy throughout the evening, alongside non-alcoholic options. Come for the pints. Stay for the poetry. Or, ideally, both.
